I really enjoyed the writing of this clever novella. There is a buildup before you get to the erotic scenes but it quickly establishes the plot, the characters and grow to care for the characters---not something I have typically found in this genre. As the story opens I immediately grew to care for Miss Elle Cendre and the machinations of her stepmother. Elle was sent off to live in the home of the Prince with the thought that she would become pregnant with them living in such close quarters and the Prince (who did not want to marry) would be forced into it once she got pregnant. At first they both resist but Elle has other plans...and this when the author really takes the story and empowers the characters but also turns up the sensuality--I cannot say more without spoiling the read, but I will say it's well worth it!
